Georgia House Resolution honoring John Alan Dickerson, Sr., who passed away December 27, 2025 (born August 23, 1946, in Anderson, South Carolina)

Dickerson graduated from Hart County High School (1964) and Clemson University (1968), where he served as President of Blue Key National Honor Society and President of the Clemson University Student Senate

Received multiple legal profession awards including the Chief Justice Thomas O. Marshall Professionalism Award and the Tradition of Excellence Award from the State Bar of Georgia

Also honored with the Distinguished Citizen Award from the Northeast Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts of America and named Outstanding Young Man of Toccoa and Stephens County

Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to provide a copy of the resolution to his family, including his wife Paula of 56 years, four children, and seven grandchildren
