The resolution notes the CHINS framework has operated as an unfunded or underfunded mandate for more than a decade, resulting in inconsistent implementation and limited service access statewide

Committee members may receive allowances for up to 5 days of work, funded through House of Representatives appropriations

The committee must file any report with findings or proposed legislation with the Clerk of the House before December 1, 2026, when the committee will be abolished
