Georgia House Resolution recognizing and commending former President Barack Obama on the grand opening of the Obama Presidential Center in Jackson Park on the South Side of Chicago

Obama served as the 44th President of the United States from 2009 to 2017 and was the first African American president, as well as the first African American president of the Harvard Law Review

The Obama Presidential Center will include a museum, library, public gathering spaces, and programming initiatives focused on developing future leaders through the Obama Foundation

The resolution extends best wishes for continued health and happiness and directs the Clerk of the House to make copies available for public distribution
