Georgia House Resolution 1952 formally recognizes and commends the Center for Black Women's Wellness for 36 years of service to metropolitan Atlanta

The Center was established in 1988 as a program under the National Black Women's Health Project, originally focused on self-help group development in public housing and building resiliency among low-income women

The organization incorporated as an independent nonprofit in 1996 and provides physical, mental, emotional, and financial support services to optimize health, strengthen families, and advance health equity

The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to provide a copy of the resolution to the Center for Black Women's Wellness
