Georgia House Resolution 1965 recognizes and commends Sylvia Goalen for her public service to the state

Served over 15 years as Division Director of Traffic Safety and Roadway Operations at the Georgia Department of Transportation

Led traffic safety programs, expanded community outreach including Spanish-language radio appearances, and coordinated multi-department transportation projects including roadway safety improvements and traffic calming measures

Serves as Board Chair for a literacy nonprofit and on the Board for Gwinnett County Public Schools Community-Based Mentoring Program, helping launch the Gusanito Book Festival, literacy camps, and parent empowerment conferences

Directs the Clerk of the House to provide a copy of the resolution to Sylvia Goalen
