Creates a 9-member House Study Committee on Healthcare Quality and Reporting, with 5 state representatives appointed by the Speaker and 4 non-legislative members from the Georgia Department of Community Health, a statewide healthcare data initiative, a practicing healthcare data analyst, and a Medicaid care management organization

Committee will study standardized healthcare reporting initiatives to measure quality, improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance transparency through integration of electronic health records and claims data

Committee will evaluate the impact of healthcare reporting on providers, Medicaid recipients, and insurers, including assessing penalties and enforcement mechanisms while ensuring HIPAA compliance

Legislative members receive standard allowances under Code Section 28-1-8; non-legislative members receive daily expense allowances and mileage reimbursement for up to 5 days unless additional days are authorized

Committee must file any approved report with the Clerk of the House of Representatives and stands abolished on December 1, 2025
