Crockett has represented Texas' 30th Congressional District (portions of Dallas and Tarrant counties) since January 2023, serving as vice ranking member of the House Oversight Committee and ranking member of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Oversight in the 119th Congress

As a Texas state representative during the 87th Legislative Session, she was the sole Black freshman and youngest Black lawmaker, filed more bills than any other freshman, and co-founded the Texas Progressive Caucus and Texas Caucus on Climate, Energy, and the Environment

Served as a lead architect of the 2021 Texas House Quorum Break, which drew national attention to restrictive voting measures being considered in the Texas legislature

Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to provide a copy of the resolution to Congresswoman Crockett
