Creates an 11-member House Study Committee on Protecting Working Families to evaluate state responses to potential federal cuts to Medicaid and SNAP funding, which currently serve approximately 2.5 million and 1.4 million Georgians respectively

Committee will study proposed state protections including: an emergency Medicaid fund, a food security fund for first responders and veterans, small business tax credits for healthcare contributions, an affordable insurance pool, and a state-funded food purchase program

Additional protections under consideration include a Medicaid buy-in program at subsidized rates, maternity care grants for low-income pregnant women and children losing benefits, and dollar-for-dollar matching grants for church-run pantries and religious nonprofit food assistance organizations

Speaker of the House appoints all members and designates the chairperson; members receive allowances under Code Section 28-1-8 for up to five days unless additional days are authorized

Committee must file any report with findings or proposed legislation with the Clerk of the House before December 1, 2025, when the committee stands abolished
