First-time DUI offenders (BAC 0.08+) must carry minimum liability insurance of $50,000 per person/$100,000 per accident for bodily injury and $50,000 for property damage

Second or subsequent DUI offenders must carry higher minimums of $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident for bodily injury and $100,000 for property damage

Required increased coverage must be maintained uninterrupted for three years from the date of conviction

Drivers subject to these requirements must carry proof of coverage while operating a vehicle, which may be shown in paper or electronic format

"Conviction" includes jury verdicts of guilty, guilty pleas, and nolo contendere pleas; effective upon Governor's approval and applies to convictions on or after that date
