Amends O.C.G.A. § 21-2-139 to add "offices of county governing authorities" to the list of positions the General Assembly may designate for nonpartisan elections through local legislation

Currently, the General Assembly can authorize nonpartisan elections only for county judicial offices, local school board offices, and consolidated government offices

Nonpartisan elections for county governing authority positions would be held in conjunction with the general primary in even-numbered years, without requiring a prior nonpartisan primary

Election procedures for any newly authorized nonpartisan county governing authority races must conform to existing state law governing nonpartisan elections
