Expands the exemption from bail bond business prohibition to include members of county, municipal, and consolidated government governing authorities, in addition to local school board members

Members of local governing authorities (county, municipal, consolidated government) may engage in bail bond business, but only outside the jurisdiction where they hold office

Elected officials, officers of the court, law enforcement officers, and attorneys remain prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in the bail bond business

Violation of these provisions constitutes a misdemeanor

Effective upon Governor's approval or upon becoming law without approval
