State Board of Education must develop an advanced mathematics pathway for grades 3-8 by January 1, 2027, culminating in a high school level math course in middle school

Local school systems may offer the pathway in grades 3-5 but are required to offer it in grades 6-8

Qualifying students are automatically enrolled in the pathway for grades 6-8, with parents able to opt out; parents of non-qualifying students may enroll their child if the student scored above the 50th percentile statewide on the prior year's end-of-grade math assessment

Department of Education must submit annual reports by December 1 to the Governor and legislative leaders with enrollment data disaggregated by ethnicity, sex, socioeconomic status, disability, language proficiency, grade level, and school

Local school systems may provide additional supports and services to students and teachers in the advanced mathematics pathway
