Repeals all Georgia laws authorizing automated traffic enforcement safety devices (speed cameras) for enforcing speeding violations in school zones, effective July 1, 2026

Immediately prohibits local governments and law enforcement agencies from entering into or renewing contracts for school zone speed camera enforcement upon the bill's approval

Removes related provisions including definitions, agent classifications, testing/calibration requirements, and signage requirements specific to automated enforcement devices

Eliminates civil monetary penalties issued through recorded images for school zone speeding violations

Removes the exclusion of automated enforcement penalties from the 35% budget cap calculation used to determine if speed detection is being misused for revenue generation
