GA SB212

Prohibits local school systems and public schools from disclosing student directory information to political candidates, campaign committees, political action committees, political organizations, or anyone acting on their behalf.

Requires written attestations from individuals who assist students with voter registration or Selective Service registration on school property, certifying they will not share student directory information with political entities.

Makes disclosing confidential or exempted voter registration information to unauthorized persons a felony, punishable by 1-10 years imprisonment and/or fines up to $100,000.

Prohibits candidates, campaign committees, and PACs from soliciting minors under 18 to fraudulently organize campaign events on school property when such events are prohibited by law or school policy.

Takes effect upon approval by the Governor or upon becoming law without such approval.
