Electors may request to automatically receive absentee ballots for all future regularly scheduled primaries, elections, and runoffs by selecting an option on the absentee ballot application form.

The Secretary of State must include a place on absentee ballot applications for electors to opt into the permanent absentee voter list.

Electors on the permanent list will be removed if they are moved to the inactive voter list or if they opt out of receiving automatic absentee ballots.

The Secretary of State must track and make publicly available data on which electors have opted into the permanent absentee voter list.

Special elections and special primaries still require a separate absentee ballot application regardless of permanent list status.
