GA SB319

Restricts vehicular pursuits by state, county, and local law enforcement to situations where probable cause exists that the suspect committed or is committing murder, aggravated battery, kidnapping, false imprisonment, rape, armed robbery, or any offense creating an immediate threat of death or serious bodily injury

Requires all law enforcement vehicular pursuits to meet the requirements of Code Section 40-6-6 (governing authorized emergency vehicles)

Maintains existing requirement that law enforcement agencies adopt written pursuit policies addressing cross-jurisdictional pursuits, with non-compliant agencies subject to withholding of state or state-administered federal funding

Amends Chapter 1 of Title 35 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to law enforcement officers and agencies
