DeKalb County Board of Education members will be elected only by voters residing within the DeKalb County school district boundaries, rather than all county voters

Current board members continue serving their existing terms, with the new election requirement applying to their successors

Annexations achieved through local Acts of the General Assembly are exempt from school district boundary change provisions if they involve a single residential parcel of one acre or less

Maximum of four such small-parcel annexation exemptions are permitted per calendar year
