County and joint boards of election or boards of election and registration would be authorized to conduct meetings via teleconference under Georgia's Open Meetings Act

Teleconference meetings must comply with existing notice requirements and provide simultaneous public access when fewer than a quorum of members are physically present

Members participating by teleconference would have full participation rights equivalent to being physically present

For public hearings held via teleconference with fewer than a quorum physically present, the public must be afforded means to participate fully as if they were physically present

Amends O.C.G.A. § 50-14-1 to add election boards to the list of bodies already permitted to meet by teleconference, including development authorities, community improvement districts, hospital authorities, and large retirement system boards
