Schools must enroll foster care students within two school days of an enrollment request from a parent or legal custodian, either permanently or provisionally

Foster care students cannot be assigned to remote learning solely because the school has not received their critical records from previous schools

Schools that fail to meet the two-day enrollment requirement must immediately provide the parent or legal custodian with contact information for the RESA student affairs officer and the Department of Education's chief privacy officer

The Department of Education may require noncompliant schools to follow a corrective action plan based on recommendations from the chief privacy officer or RESA student affairs officer

General provisional enrollment for non-foster students allows up to ten school days of conditional enrollment while awaiting records from schools attended in the previous 24 months
