Commercial driver's licenses (CDLs) issued to noncitizens will automatically revoke upon expiration of the person's visa or after five years, whichever occurs first

Noncitizens transferring a CDL from another state to Georgia must take and pass both the knowledge and skills tests for commercial vehicles, rather than having their out-of-state license simply transferred

Temporary licenses, permits, and identification cards for noncitizens remain valid only during the period of authorized stay in the United States or five years, whichever is shorter

Applicants renewing a CDL with a hazardous materials endorsement (H or X) must take and pass the written hazardous materials test
