GA SB470

Prohibits the possession, use, or operation of signal jammers with intent to interfere with wireless communications, cellular systems, GPS, radar, radio, telephone, or cable systems in Georgia

Establishes felony penalties of 1-7 years imprisonment and/or up to $10,000 fine for standard violations; enhanced penalties of 1-10 years and/or up to $25,000 fine when targeting public safety agencies, 9-1-1 centers, or critical infrastructure

Makes it a separate felony (1-5 years, up to $10,000 fine) to manufacture, sell, distribute, or import signal jammers in the state

Designates signal jammers and related property as contraband subject to civil forfeiture, with the Attorney General authorized to commence forfeiture proceedings

Exempts federally authorized use and use by public safety agencies, law enforcement, and correctional agencies; effective July 1, 2026
