Requests for booking photographs must include the individual's first and last name, a notarized statement affirming lawful use, and must be made in person as separate requests for each photograph

Requests for law enforcement videos (including body camera and vehicle recordings) must identify the individual depicted or provide the approximate date, time, and location, and must be made in person as separate requests

Audio and video recordings depicting a person's death or distress immediately preceding death are exempt from public disclosure, with access limited to the deceased's next of kin (spouse, adult child, parent, sibling, or legal guardian)

Superior courts may order disclosure of death recordings in closed criminal investigations if the public interest outweighs the family's privacy interest, with at least two weeks' notice required to next of kin

Credentialed members of the Georgia Press Association and Georgia Association of Broadcasters are exempt from the in-person and separate request requirements for booking photographs, law enforcement videos, and death recordings
