Former Georgia Insurance Commissioners are prohibited from registering as a lobbyist or engaging in lobbying activities in the insurance industry for 5 years after leaving office

"Insurance industry" is defined as any entity regulated by the Commissioner, including entities whose paid lobbying activities are directed at the Commissioner or pertain to matters within the department's regulatory authority

Violations carry a civil penalty of up to $10,000 per insurance industry entity for which the former Commissioner lobbied

Amends Chapter 2 of Title 33 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated by adding new Code section 33-2-35
