Public school students may engage in political activities and expression before, during, and after school to the same extent as nonpolitical activities, including organizing partisan and nonpartisan political groups during noninstructional time.

Schools with limited open forums are prohibited from denying equal access or discriminating against student meetings based on political, philosophical, or ideological content of speech.

Partisan and nonpartisan political groups must receive the same access to school facilities and the same opportunity to advertise meetings as other noncurricular groups.

Students may wear clothing, accessories, and jewelry displaying political messages or symbols to the same extent other messages or symbols are permitted under school dress codes.
