Advanced placement, Cambridge, and international baccalaureate fine arts courses will be included in GPA calculations for HOPE scholarship eligibility, adding fine arts to the existing list of English, mathematics, science, social studies, and foreign language coursework.

Cambridge courses will receive the same GPA weighting as advanced placement, dual credit, and international baccalaureate courses for all Georgia students.

"Fine arts" is defined as AP, Cambridge, or IB fine arts courses that have been assigned a unique course number by the Georgia Department of Education.

Fine arts course grades will not be included in GPA calculations for students who graduated before July 1, 2026.

Effective date: July 1, 2026.
