GA SB97

Amends Georgia Code Section 16-11-62 to make it unlawful to intentionally and clandestinely place electronic monitoring devices to track any person's physical location without their lawful consent

Creates exceptions allowing tracking devices when the vehicle/aircraft owner, lessor, lessee, or lienholder consents, or when placed by U.S. military personnel performing official duties

Permits parents, legal guardians, or those in loco parentis to track children under age 21 or incapacitated individuals in their care

Exempts mobile telephone/data service providers tracking vehicle operators or passengers, and manufacturer-installed monitoring devices in vehicles or aircraft

Clarifies that automated license plate recognition systems (as defined in Code Section 35-1-22) are not subject to these restrictions
