Dedicates the portion of State Route 87 from Elbert Jackson Road to Marvin Circle in Monroe County as the "Neva Langley Fickling Memorial Highway"

Mrs. Fickling won Miss Macon, Miss Georgia, and Miss America in 1953 at age 19, becoming the only woman to win all three titles

Studied music at Florida Southern College and Wesleyan College, performing piano with the Macon-Wesleyan Symphony Orchestra and Atlanta Pops Orchestra

Served on boards of numerous organizations including Wesleyan College, Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and Georgia Council for the Arts

Played a vital role in saving the Grand Opera House in Macon from demolition through fundraising and public awareness efforts
