Georgia Senate Resolution 1056 recognizes and commends Deputy Anthony Pacifico of the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office for courageous service in the line of duty

Deputy Pacifico has served Cherokee County since November 2018, graduated from the North Central Georgia Law Enforcement Academy in 2020, and responded to approximately 9,000 calls for service while investigating roughly 1,200 cases as a patrol deputy

In 2024, he was selected to serve in the Special Operations Division as a K-9 handler

On October 25, 2025, Deputy Pacifico intervened to stop a knife-wielding suspect who was attacking Deputy Nicolas Glass during a welfare check, protecting his fellow officer's life

The Secretary of the Senate is directed to provide a copy of the resolution to Deputy Pacifico
