Georgia Senate resolution recognizing and commending Deputy Nicolas Glass of the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office for courageous service in the line of duty

Deputy Glass has served with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office since May 2022, transferring to Uniform Patrol in April 2025 and responding to over 1,100 calls for service at the Oak Grove Precinct

On October 25, 2025, Deputy Glass was attacked with a knife by an armed assailant while responding to a welfare check for a missing adult female, sustaining injuries to his face

Despite his injuries, Deputy Glass defended himself and alerted fellow deputies, helping to stop the threat; the incident was later connected to a homicide at the residence

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to provide a copy of the resolution to Deputy Nicolas Glass
