Georgia applies to Congress to call an Article V constitutional convention for the sole purpose of proposing a term limits amendment for U.S. House and Senate members

The application may be aggregated with similar term limits applications from other states to reach the two-thirds threshold (34 states) required to trigger a convention

The application explicitly cannot be combined with state applications on any other subject matter

Georgia insists the convention be strictly limited to term limits and requests Congress enact severe criminal penalties for anyone who exceeds the convention's scope

The application remains in effect continuously until two-thirds of states submit applications on the same subject
