The award is named after Representative Nikki T. Randall, the first African American female elected to the General Assembly from middle Georgia in 1999, who served 17 years as a legislator

Recognizes Hambrick's 30+ years as a Clayton County resident and her work advancing public safety, infrastructure, education, youth services, and recreation

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to provide a copy of the resolution to Gail B. Hambrick
