Georgia Senate resolution recognizing Taiwan as a key U.S. ally sharing democratic values, noting 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence and 30th anniversary of Taiwan's first direct presidential election

Taiwan ranks as the U.S.'s 7th largest trading partner with $158.8 billion in bilateral trade-in-goods, and was Georgia's 15th largest import and 17th largest export market in 2024

Encourages Georgia to establish a trade office in Taiwan (joining 23 other states and Guam) and organize a trade delegation to attract Taiwanese investment

Supports Taiwan's participation in international organizations including WHO, UNFCCC, ICAO, INTERPOL, CPTPP, and IPEF, and endorses the Taiwan Caucus for collaborative opportunities

Calls for an education cooperation MOU with Taiwan and encourages use of the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL), approved by Georgia Department of Education in 2025 for the State Seal of Biliteracy
