Recognizes February 5, 2026, as Cancer Prevention Day at the Georgia state capitol

Commends the Georgia Cancer Control Consortium, Georgia Department of Public Health, Georgia CORE, Regional Cancer Coalitions of Georgia, and other partner organizations for their cancer prevention and screening efforts

Acknowledges that many cancers can be prevented through tobacco cessation, HPV vaccination, healthy nutrition, physical activity, sun safety, and timely screenings

Encourages all Georgians to engage in evidence-based preventive health practices and maintain recommended cancer screening schedules

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to distribute copies of the resolution to the public and press
