2,600 YMCAs currently serve over 10,000 communities nationwide with more than 300,000 staff and 350,000 volunteers, reaching over 17 million people annually including 11 million adults and 6.5 million children

Georgia's first YMCA opened in Savannah in 1855; today 16 YMCAs operate statewide with more than 8,300 staff and 8,600 volunteers

YMCA is the nation's largest nonprofit provider of childcare and afterschool programs, and the largest provider of fitness programs for older adults

Secretary of the Senate is directed to provide a copy of the resolution to the YMCA
