Recognizes and commemorates the Georgia School of Orthodontics (GSO) on its 10th anniversary, founded in 2014 by Chris Lazzara and Dr. Gasper Lazzara to expand orthodontic education and provide affordable care

GSO has treated over 14,600 patients, generated $46.6 million in savings for Atlanta-area families, awarded over $5 million in scholarships to 73 recipients, and educated 172 alumni since its founding

In 2018, GSO became the first orthodontic institution nationally designated as a Purple Heart School through its Purple Heart Smiles program providing free care to children and grandchildren of Purple Heart recipients

In 2025, GSO partnered with the John and Lillian Miles Lewis Foundation to establish the $8.5 million John Lewis Legacy Scholarship and opened the Lazzara Orthodontic Center for Research

Invites GSO leadership, faculty, residents, and staff to be formally recognized on the floor of the Georgia Senate
