Georgia Senate resolution honoring Schley Louis "Big Louie" Perry, Jr. (March 10, 1939 – November 26, 2025), a lifelong farmer from Colquitt County who operated Pineywoods Farms as its fifth-generation owner

Served as chair of the Georgia Cotton Commission, board member of the North American Limousin Foundation, and member of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association; Georgia Farm Bureau member since age 13

Participated in University of Georgia Extension research trials for crops and livestock and advised elected officials including Saxby Chambliss, Sanford Bishop, Johnny Isakson, Jimmy Carter, Sonny Perdue, and Roy Barnes on agricultural issues

Received the ABAC Family Legacy Award, Master Farmer Award, and Centennial Family Farm Award; supported education through scholarships at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and University of Georgia

Secretary of the Senate directed to provide a copy of the resolution to Perry's family
