Notes CRNAs have provided anesthesia in Georgia since 1916 at Grady Hospital, with the Georgia Association of Nurse Anesthetists founded in 1938 now representing more than 1,600 members

Highlights that CRNAs administer more than 50 million anesthetics annually nationwide and represent more than 80 percent of anesthesia providers in rural counties

Recognizes that half of all rural hospitals in the United States use a CRNA-only model for obstetric care, reducing patient travel distances of 75 miles or more

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to distribute copies of the resolution to the public and press
