Georgia Senate Resolution 767 honors the life and memory of Celeste Coleman Shearouse of Savannah, who passed away on January 30, 2026, at age 74

Shearouse served St. Joseph's Candler Hospital for 37 years and volunteered extensively with SAFE KIDS Savannah

Co-founded the St. Vincent's 1845 Foundation with her father Tom Coleman and Sr. Jude Walsh to preserve the St. Vincent's convent, and established the first St. Vincent's Athletic Association

Survived by husband Joseph, four children (Mary, Joseph, Elizabeth, and Stephanie), and 10 grandchildren

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to provide a copy of the resolution to the Shearouse family
