Georgia Senate celebrates the dedication of the Sons of Atlanta Vietnam War Memorial Project scheduled for March 29, 2026, at Piedmont Park in Atlanta

Memorial monument plaza honors more than 240 service members from Fulton County killed in action or during military service in the Vietnam War era, with names listed beneath their hometown seals

Public participation is encouraged through purchase or donation of engraved commemorative bricks to support the memorial

Atlanta City Councilman Michael J. Bond championed the project on behalf of the Greater Metro-Atlanta Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter No. 1118 Inc.

Secretary of the Senate is directed to distribute copies of the resolution to the project organizers
