Designates March 16, 2026, as Morris Brown College Day at the Georgia state capitol

Morris Brown College was chartered in May 1885 by the African Methodist Episcopal Church, becoming the first institution in Georgia solely under African American patronage

The college opened in October 1885 with Mrs. Mary McCree as principal, and the first graduating class received diplomas in 1890

The institution has served students from around the world for more than 130 years, providing educational development and industrial training

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to provide a copy of the resolution to Morris Brown College
