Creates an 11-member Joint Study Committee on the Generational Sustainability of Family Farms, composed of 5 senators, 5 representatives, and the Commissioner of Agriculture

Committee will study challenges facing family farms including natural disasters, trade wars, disease outbreaks, corporate consolidation, declining workforce, record high input costs, and record low commodity prices

Georgia's agricultural industry contributes $100.4 billion to the state economy and 370,400 jobs, while the U.S. agricultural trade deficit is projected to exceed $40 billion

Committee tasked with recommending policies and investments to support existing markets, develop new domestic markets, decrease input costs, prepare next-generation farmers, and address systemic challenges in the farm economy

Committee will stand abolished on December 1, 2026, and must file any report with findings or proposed legislation prior to that date
