Georgia Senate recognizes and commends GreyStone Power Corporation for 90 years of service since its founding as Farmers Electrical Association on August 24, 1936, in Douglas County

GreyStone Power is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric cooperative serving more than 135,000 members across eight Georgia counties: Bartow, Carroll, Cobb, Coweta, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, and Paulding

The cooperative began with an $83,000 federal loan to construct 83 miles of power lines for 320 members and has grown to over 7,800 miles of line serving 155,000 meters as of January 2026

GreyStone has returned $205 million in capital credits to members and expanded services to include EMC Security (founded 2006) and GreyStone Connect broadband subsidiary (founded 2024)

The Secretary of the Senate is directed to provide a copy of the resolution to GreyStone Power Corporation
