During the exchange of gunfire, Officer Palmer physically pulled an assisting deputy to safety by her ballistic vest, shielding both officers behind the apartment building structure before providing lifesaving measures

The resolution formally recognizes Officer Palmer's courage, selflessness, and composure under fire as exemplifying the highest ideals of law enforcement service

The Secretary of the Senate is directed to provide a copy of this resolution to Officer Terry "J" Palmer
