Georgia Senate honors the Georgia Wildlife Federation on its 90th anniversary, founded in 1936 by hunters and anglers responding to declining white-tailed deer and wild turkey populations

Organization was established after founders attended the first North American Wildlife Conference in Washington, D.C. to promote science-based conservation and secure funding for wildlife, forests, waters, and habitats

Federation advocated for the Pittman-Robertson Wildlife Restoration Act and more recently supported the Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Program for long-term conservation investment

Organization has promoted conservation education and expanded outdoor recreation opportunities for young people, women, and new audiences in hunting, angling, and stewardship

Secretary of the Senate directed to provide a copy of the resolution to the Georgia Wildlife Federation
