Georgia Senate congratulates Ms. Sharon J. Hill for receiving the 2026 Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leadership Award, presented annually by the Georgia Women's Legislative Caucus during Women's History Month

Ms. Hill is recognized as a community leader and advocate for social justice and voting rights who previously served as media relations strategist for Senator Donzella James

Leadership roles include service with the NAACP and League of Women Voters of Georgia

Previous honors include 2021 United Nations Human Rights Ambassador (Trinity University), 2020 Woman of Action (League of Women Voters Marietta-Cobb County), and 2019 Cobb County NAACP MLK Day "Living the Dream" Award

The award honors Representative Nikki T. Randall, the first African American woman elected to the General Assembly from middle Georgia in 1999, who served 17 years including as chair of the Georgia Women's Legislative Caucus
