Landowners and land occupiers must conduct continuing inspections of their property to identify risks of rockslides, landslides, and natural or man-made hazards at frequencies appropriate to the level of risk.

Written records of all inspections must be maintained and are admissible as evidence in court proceedings related to liability claims involving rockslides, landslides, or natural or man-made hazards.

"Reasonable under the circumstances" is defined as efforts made to prevent rockslides, landslides, or hazards from causing personal injury, death, or property damage to persons and surrounding land.

Defines key terms including "landowner," "land occupier," "rockslide," "landslide," "natural hazard," and "man-made hazard" for purposes of the inspection duty.

Counties retain authority to adopt ordinances that are at least as stringent as the requirements established in this section.
