Extends commercial driver's license exemption to former military personnel no longer on active duty who previously operated commercial motor vehicles for military purposes.

Exemption applies to former members of active-duty military, military reserves, National Guard (active duty, full-time duty, part-time training), National Guard military technicians, and U.S. Coast Guard.

Requires that former military individuals must have met minimum qualifications under federal laws and regulations that meet or exceed state requirements for operating commercial motor vehicles while on active duty.

Maintains existing exemptions for federal, state, and county firefighters and law enforcement officers who operate emergency vehicles.

Takes effect upon approval.
