Requires gynecologists to offer patients the option of having either a gynecologist or a gynecologist oncologist perform surgery before scheduling surgery for gynecologic cancer with abdominal metastasis.

Department of Health must submit a report to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2012 regular session convening.

Report must include statistics on gynecologic surgeries involving metastasized cancer requiring gynecologic oncologist services and cases where metastasized cancer was not diagnosed prior to surgery.

Report must include recommendations and suggested legislation for improving gynecological cancer surgery protocols and methods.

Effective July 1, 2020.
