Designates June 8 of each year as World Ocean Day in Hawaii to increase public awareness of ocean environment conservation management.

Supported by multiple organizations including The Nature Conservancy of Hawaii, Hawaii Audubon Society, Hawaii Arts Alliance, and various community groups.

Department of Land and Natural Resources provided comments on the measure.

Committee on Water, Land, & Ocean Resources recommends passage and advancement to Third Reading.
