Appropriates $296,500 from general revenues for fiscal year 2009-2010 to the Hawaii Civil Air Patrol for emergency services, cadet programs, and aerospace education.

Allocates $52,500 for cadet summer encampment for 130 cadets and $25,000 for aerospace education orientation flights for 200 cadets.

Provides $75,000 for 600 training and proficiency flight hours, $81,000 to upgrade tsunami warning sirens, and $9,000 for aircraft maintenance repairs.

Funds $14,000 for ground team vehicle support, $10,000 for radio communication equipment upgrades, and $12,000 each for building maintenance and utilities.

Effective July 1, 2009, with the Department of Defense responsible for expending the appropriated funds.
